In New York City there isn't many buildings without elevators and I work in a building that has 3. Oddly they all close at different rates, leaving work the other day I walked into elevator #1 which happens to be the quickest to close. I was texting on my phone not paying much attention when elevator door starts to close... Jammed my hand, forcing me to drop my phone. In the million to one shot it dropped right down the space between the elevator door and the floor. As I watched the phone tumble down the abyss of 13 plus stories of elevator shaft. I race down to the front desk... Who calls the super, who then has to call an elevator service company to fish it out of the elevator base.
